About Me

My name is Wojciech – for simplicity I will give you how to read my name Voytcheh -. I come from Poland and have been working with photography for some time. More precisely, I started my adventure with photography about 50 years ago, around 1970, when I first time “photographed” my Dad’s camera. CMEHA 8, a pretty cool camera anyway. For film, this was not the time of digital photography. Then it was different, the next stage is a SLR camera, ZENIT, it’s probably obvious, since you live in Poland, different versions, better and worse models, but fortunately for me, I always found good or even very good lenses.

Then it was different, the next stage is a SLR camera, ZENIT, it’s probably obvious, since you live in Poland, different versions, better and worse models, but fortunately for me, I always found good or even very good lenses. And the digital age came, I absolutely had to have something, it was a bridge camera, nothing special, but it gave me a sense of freedom, the card capacity was the limit. However, it wasn’t the card, but the optics quality and functionality became a barrier rather quickly. I photographed by Nikon, Sony, I had a Canon in my paws. In my paws, because I have a little big handles, 188 cm tall has its rights.

Finally, the choice fell on Pentax and it has remained so until today. Why Pentax? Why not, solid construction, seals, perfect cooperation with the M42 glasses, etc. It also has its drawbacks, but who would pay attention to it, if the final photo is exactly what I wanted. What am I photographing?Almost everything what I like, although I have my preferences: night photos of cities, nature, landscapes, I also like to sit in the “corner of the city” and watch people. The zoom helps me a lot with that, nothing special 70-200mm. Such a compromise of range and size.

Have I had any successes?
Yes. Thanks to photography, my rehabilitation after a spine injury was faster, maybe not less painful, but with greater satisfaction, because apart from a faster recovery, I have nice photos.I had the opportunity to present myself at a large multimedia exhibition in NYC at Time Square and at exhibition in the Louvre in Paris. I am a curator – whatever that means, of one of the photo services, although I don’t know why, I guess I got enough points for my activity. And you can also buy my photos via Getty Images, that’s nice.

And that’s probably all about me.

P.S. I discover the world of video, it’s not new, I know, but for me, creating clips is new, fun. And maybe something more.
